The souvenir you cannot miss at Kyoto – the “most Kyoto” souvenir

Whenever you shop at some souvenir shops in Kyoto, it is not difficult to figure out matcha is the featured product of Kyoto – matcha is everywhere. Matcha is definitely a famous, classic symbol representing Kyoto, and of course it tastes good! However, if you want to find something more special and “more Kyoto”, here may be a good choice.

At Kyoto Kitayama MALEBRANCHE, apart from the shop’s classic CHA no KA (strong matcha cookie), there is a product named “KYO SABLÉ”. As its name implies, it is the sablé of Kyoto - made by rice flour, with 6 flavours. Some include Kyoto-made ingredients, and the sablé are in the shape of Kanji character “京”, notating Kyoto (京都).
